How to Add or Edit Users

In this lesson you'll learn how to add and edit users in Answer Automation Reports.

To access Answer Automation’s user management features, you must be a user with an Account Owner role. In the menu bar, select User Management.

Adding a User 

  1. Select Reports User
  1. Complete required information to create a new user. Required fields include: First name, Last name, Email, Password, and Password confirm. 
    • Select the Role of User, Maintenance Tech or Account Owner
      1. Account Owner role:
        • Has access to view Answer Automation Reports
        • Has access to User Management where users can be added, edited, and deleted.
        • Has access to Answer Automation Scheduler and Call List features
      2. Maintenance Tech role only has access to view Answer Automation Reports
    • You can customize your opening page with a Default Page (the page you will see upon signing in), Default Date Range (date range for the reports upon signing in), and the property Time Zone
  1. Select Add User
  1. You have successfully added a new Reports User. That user now has access to Answer Automation Reports

Editing a User 

  1. If you need to edit an existing user, under User Management, select Edit by the appropriate user’s name. 
  1. After making the necessary edits to a user, select Save Changes
  1. You have successfully edited a user! 

Changing a User’s Role 

  1. Should a user’s role need to change, under User Management, select Edit by the appropriate user’s name. 
  1. Select the Role of User, Maintenance Tech or Account Owner.
    • Account Owner role:
      1. Has access to view Answer Automation Reports
      2. Has access to User Management where users can be added, edited, and deleted.
      3. Has access to Answer Automation Scheduler and Call List features
    • Maintenance Tech role only has access to view Answer Automation Reports
  2. After making the necessary edits to a user’s role select Save Changes.
